Bilal Tanzania- Kigoma branch commemorates Muharram 1438 AH

The Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania – Kigoma Branch organized various functions and events to commemorate the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain (A.S) – The grandson of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) which took place in the plains of Karbala.


Programs held daily included afternoon ladies Majalis at the Bilal centers followed by poems expressing the grief on the event of Kerbala and Majalis at night for ladies and gents thereafter Nyaz and Tabarukaat were served.



Prominent Mubaligh including Sheikh Mohamed Mubarak from Tanga, Sheikh Othman Mussa, Sheikh Issa Ahmed and Sheikh Khamis Mzenzwa were posted and swapped amongst the centers and delivered thought provoking messages.

Bilal Kigoma also facilitated refugee Camp at Nyarugusu village by sending Sheikh Nasibu Rajabu where many Shias in exile gathered and commemorated the martyrdom of Aba Abdillahil Hussein (a.s).


Bilal Kigoma made a courtesy visit to AhlulBayt Islamic Seminary where the delegation led by Sheikh AbdulWahid Abyat discussed the sacrifice of Imam Husayn (A.S) and important lessons learned therein and expressed their sorrow and love for the heroes of Kerbala

Bilal Kigoma Branch organized peaceful procession on the day of ASHURA which was attended by a large number of people (more than 1000) from all around the region.

During the Juloos, live speeches were delivered by prominent speakers; pamphlets were distributed to spread the message of the Holy Household and poems addressing the sacrifice of the Martyrs of Kerbala were recited.
