Bilal Tanzania- Milad un Nabi Celebrations at Various Centres
The Chairman Alhaj Riyaz Nasser and the Board Members of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania joined hands with our Muslim brothers in celebration of the birth Anniversary (MAULID) of our beloved Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W) at National Level.
The event took place on 23rd December ‘2015 at the grounds of Mnazi Mmoja, Dar es Salaam whereby all the Muslim sects gathered for the celebrations.
In Kigoma region, Maulid celebration was held at the Regional level in Nguruka, Uvinza District, hosted by BAKWATA.
The Central Bilal Board (CBB) Chairman, Alhaj Mohsin (Sheni) Lalji had the honour to be the Chief Guest at Maulid Baraza (Maulid Program) whereby Regional Sheikh Alhaj Hassan Iddi Kiburwa, host District Sheikh Hassan Khamisi and all district Sheikhs of Kigoma were present to welcome the CBB Chairman.
Bilal Muslim Mission Kigoma Branch Chairman, Sheikh Abdulwahid Abayat addressing the Regional Maulid Baraza spoke on the life style of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W) and also stressed about Unity and Brotherhood amongst Muslim Ummah.
He added on importance of celebrating the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W), it is a symbol of unifying the Muslims and bringing about awareness of anti-Islam forces that is threatening the religion of Islam and dividing the Muslims, using false pretexts of sects and beliefs.
He gave some examples of the current situation in the Muslim countries where fighting and violence has caused deaths in thousands, destruction of livelihood causing great sufferings to the people and forcing them to take refuge in foreign countries.
The Guest of Honour, Alhaj Mohsin (Sheni) Lalji addressed the gathering and explained on how the Khoja community worked hard and developed a good system of management and administration creating a vibrant community. He stressed to other communities to also work hard and take Khoja community as a role model. He also pointed out the importance of building stronger and closer Sunni-Shia relationships bring about awareness in the field of education and tobe alert on the destructive elements dividing the Muslims.
Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania wish to record the contribution of Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi, Chairman of the Federation of KSI Jamaats of Africa for providing 500 Holy Qur’an and 1000 Juzuu Amma of which 400 of each were handed to Bakwata – Kigoma for distribution of 50 each to 8 District Branches of Bakwata in Kigoma region.
We wish to record our appreciation to Africa Federation for the financial support and to all donors and well-wishers for their support towards Maulid programs in Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania’s centers that include Mwanza, Ikwiriri, Tanga and for Bilal Islamic Center – Udowe where a grand interfaith Maulid program will be held, Inshallah.
